Mr Iftikhar A. Lodhi
Brief Introduction
Mr Iftikhar A. Lodhi joined the institute in 2007. He completed his Master in Public Policy from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. Prior to his current appointment, he worked as a Political Secretary to a Member of Parliament in Pakistan. Mr Lodhi’s research focuses on Pakistan’s political economy and foreign relations, geopolitics in Southwest Asia and energy security. He has written and published on the above topics and his articles have occasionally appeared in the national dailies.
Area of Interest and Expertise
Mr Lodhi's interests comprise a range of issues including Philosophy, Literature, Sociology, Global Politics, and Political Economy of Development. He focuses on Pakistan’s political economy and foreign relations, War on Terror, Energy Security, and geopolitics in Southwest Asia.

Geopolitics and Energy Security: Southwest and central Asia, cross border pipelines, Pakistan-China-Iran, Afghanistan. Political Economy: An empirical study of Pakistan’s development path, role of institutions and geopolitics.
